RAISING THE STAKES

Building off the season opener “Beautiful Time for Basketball,” the midseason installment pushed the Utopia campaign in a darker direction. The worlds became less idyllic and more about danger. Upping the stakes from the first round. Working out the design of each world with Grif was a really fun challenge.

EVOLVING THE TRANSITIONS

Where the season opener relied on hard cuts between worlds, this time we wanted the scenes to feel like they relate to each other. I put more effort into weaving the transitions together. Making each world flow into the next rather than simply cutting away. It was a natural evolution that paid off with some extra fun design and transition integration.
