Best Buy "Influencers"
Five projects for Best Buy featuring YouTube influencers — two :30 broadcast spots and three interactive “choose your own adventure” short films. Filmed in LA, the goal was to sensationalize a day in the life of each content creator while integrating Best Buy products into their world in a way that felt fun and authentic.

THE APPROACH
I helped develop a single-take rotational style of filmmaking with Psyop director Marco Spier and VFX Supervisor Evan Schoonmaker — the camera constantly moving through the influencer’s world, with all the blocking, camera moves, and action harmonizing into one continuous narrative. It’s a technique we’ve continued to evolve over many projects since.

CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE
The interactive episodes were built around branching storylines where the viewer makes choices that shape the influencer’s day. I wrote the entire decision tree for each episode — which got complicated fast. By the time we were on set, I was probably the only person who fully understood the map of what we had to shoot, and in what order, to make every branch work.
That knowledge came in handy when one of the actors dropped out last minute during Brandon Armstrong’s episode. Since I knew every beat of the script, I stepped in and played the part myself.
